That Day in September by Artie Van Why is a personal account of how the events of September 11, 2001 happened. It is disturbing reading, as the events unfold, but courageous and moving at the same time. Artie tells how he came to be in New York and what he was doing when the planes hit the World Trade Center. His reactions that day and subsequent actions are honest and sometimes painful to read. Artie makes you feel like you are there with him and his descriptions of people and places are very real.

I think That Day in September is an important book to read so that we do not forget that terrible day in our history and those who lost their lives at the expense of a madman.

  1. Such a horrible thing. This would be a difficult book to read.
